China ranked first in the number of tourists visiting Russia last year, Russia's Deputy Minister of Transport Vladimir Poteshkin said at the International Transport and Logistics Forum.
According to Poteshkin, Middle Eastern countries, including the UAE and Saudi Arabia, ranked second in terms of their contribution to Russian inbound tourism.
The Deputy Minister also stated that tourist flows from Vietnam, Oman, and India increased last year due to a diversification of Russia's inbound tourism and the efficient operation of air transport.
Poteshkin added that the number of international visitors to Russia is growing, with 4.8 million arrivals recorded in 2025. This figure is 15% higher than the 2024 figures.
