Iranian President receives Russian Minister of Energy

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian received a delegation led by Russian Energy Minister Sergei Tsivilev in Tehran yesterday, the Iranian presidential press service reported today.

While the details of the talks remain confidential, the meeting occurred in the context of a Russian delegation's visit previously announced by Iranian Ambassador to Russia Kazem Jalali for talks on Russian gas supplies to Iran, RIA Novosti reports.

Gazprom CEO Alexey Miller was also reported to have participated in the meeting.

The Russian delegation also met with Iranian Oil Minister Mohsen Paknejad to coordinate agendas and timelines for the upcoming Russian-Iranian intergovernmental commission meeting.
