Lavrov and Rubio to meet to organize Putin-Trump summit

U.S. President Donald Trump's remarks that he may meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin within two weeks symbolize the shared understanding of the need not to delay these talks, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said.

"Indeed, it may take place within two weeks or a bit later. The common understanding is that nothing should be put off," Peskov said.

The spokesman noted that the logistics of Putin's flight to Budapest, if this city is to host a new Russia-U.S. summit, is not yet clear. According to him, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio will start to tackle this issue organization of the summit.
