Gazprom Armenia announced a temporary halt to natural gas deliveries from Russia for a 10-day period, with suspensions effective from September 16 to 26.
"From 09:00 on September 16 to 09:00 on September 26, scheduled maintenance will be conducted on the North Caucasus-Transcaucasia main gas pipeline in Russia’s Stavropol Territory. As a result, natural gas supplies to Armenia via this pipeline will be temporarily suspended",
Gazprom Armenia reported.
During this period, Armenian energy authorities intend to address the resource shortfall through increased imports from Iran and utilization of domestic reserves.
This suspension follows similar infrastructure upgrade work that temporarily halted gas supplies in August of this year.
