Samarkand raisins officially registered

"Samarkand Raisins" has become an official geographical indication in Uzbekistan, local media reported.

The designation was announced during the Raisin Festival by Justice Minister Akbar Tashkulov, who also confirmed "Koshrabad Raisins" from Koshrabad district as a registered trademark.

Regional governor (khokim) and district officials received certification documents for both products, according to Sputnik Uzbekistan.

The registration enables national and international promotion of Koshrabad raisins, recognized for their distinctive flavor profile.
