Syrian interim President Ahmed al-Sharaa has arrived in Moscow for talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The Syrian leader's plane touched down at Moscow’s Vnukovo-2 airport.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Putin-Sharaa talks will begin with a working breakfast, followed by a separate meeting between the two leaders.
"The plan is to discuss the state and prospects for developing bilateral ties in various areas, as well as the current situation in the Middle East," the Kremlin said.
The sides will also the issues related to the presence of the Russian armed forces in Syria.
The spokesman noted that cooperation between Moscow and Damascus is actively developing.
