According to the Akorda press service, a phone call took place today between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
The press release stated that Tokayev congratulated Putin on his birthday. Tokayev acknowledged Putin's significant contributions to strengthening strategic partnership and alliance relations between Moscow and Astana.
"During the conversation, the heads of state discussed pressing issues of multifaceted cooperation between the two countries",
Akorda reported.
During the conversation, the presidents emphasized practical implementation of previously reached high-level agreements.
The call follows earlier birthday wishes from Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to Putin.
