Formerly displaced residents of Azerbaijan are continuing to return to their hometowns, with new groups scheduled to arrive in Kalbajar, Khojavand, and Jabrayil on February 27.
According to the plan, 27 families comprising 118 people will be resettled in the city of Kalbajar, 41 families (138 people) in the city of Khojavand, and 40 families (196 people) in the village of Khorovlu in the Jabrayil district.
The returns are being carried out in accordance with the directives of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev. These families are among the many who were forced to leave their homes decades ago due to the occupation by Armenian separatists. Following the territories' liberation, extensive restoration work was undertaken to prepare them for the return of their former inhabitants.
