Sergey Lavrov meets with Qatari Foreign Minister

Lavrov held talks with Qatari Foreign Minister Sultan bin Saad Al-Muraikhi, focusing on strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.

"During the conversation, promising areas for further development of the traditionally friendly Russian-Qatari relations were discussed in detail",

the Russian Foreign Ministry stated.

The Russian ministry noted that both sides reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining political dialogue and expanding economic partnership.

This meeting follows Russia’s earlier condemnation of Israel's strike on Qatar, which Moscow labeled a violation of sovereignty.
